We started Acembee because I couldn't stand watching so much energy being wasted when I knew AI could fix it. The construction industry is one of the biggest energy consumers, and I knew technology could make it smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable. But the idea really clicked one night when I couldn't sleep—because of a crane light shining straight into my apartment. It wasn't just annoying; it was pointless. If one useless light was wasting this much energy, how much was being wasted across entire construction sites?

That's when Holger and I started digging into the problem. Turns out, construction sites waste a ridiculous amount of power, especially outside working hours. So we built a tool to cut energy waste by 40%—a simple solution that made a real impact.

Now, a bigger challenge is coming.

In just a few months, LCA A4+A5 reporting will become mandatory, and construction companies will be required to track their energy use and CO₂ emissions like never before. The problem? Right now, there's no easy way to do it. The regulations are clear, but the process for collecting and reporting data is complicated, time-consuming, and messy.

That's why we've been building Acembee ahead of the curve—so that when the regulations take effect, our platform will be ready. It won't just track energy use—it will optimize it, helping construction sites stay compliant and within CO₂ limits effortlessly. Instead of scrambling for solutions, our clients will already have a simple, automated system in place.
