We founded Acembee because we saw an “obvious” waste. It all started with a crane light shining straight into my flat day and night. Not only was it annoying, it was meaningless.
It turned out to be a symptom of a much bigger problem: construction sites consume massive amounts of electricity outside working hours. So Holger and I built a simple tool that cut energy waste by 40%, simply by switching lights and heating on and off with sensors.
Later, through close collaboration with our customers, we discovered just how much time also disappears into documentation on construction sites, including reporting electricity use. That’s why we expanded into a platform that automates data collection and reporting, transforming invoices, delivery notes, and energy use into clear insights. The result: less waste, less paperwork, and projects that are easier to manage.
